Plenty of people asked me but I never had an answer which unnerved me until I realized that most people don’t. Life isn’t a destination, it’s a journey. There are many stops along the way, but as long as we are making progress, we add tools to our belt and new perspectives to enjoy the journey. My career started in the restaurant industry and there is no greater place to learn about people. Listening, customer service, conflict resolution, prioritization, leadership, and teamwork - my experience here was invaluable but after six years, it was time for a change. I took my advanced people skills to a staffing company where I learned to communicate on a different level with people in the professional world. As a recruiter and then account manager, I worked with clients in varied industries. I listened, analyzed their challenges, and found effective solutions. On the next step of my journey, I wanted something more. While looking for purpose, I found FocalPoint. I love the culture - unlocking potential and unleashing greatness.
