About Max Sheridan

I am a graduate student from the University of Bath with a First Class BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Data Science, I am passionate about solving complex problems using data-driven insights and advanced analytical techniques. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Currently, I am on track for a distinction in my MSc Data Science, with my dissertation focusing on the use of hybrid AI in the legal domain. Specifically, I am exploring how LLMs can be used with Declarative programming for rule conclusion and rule application. Throughout my studies and projects, I have gained extensive experience in Python, SQL, and various machine learning libraries such as NumPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras and Pandas. I have developed a keen interest in implementing mathematical models, including Bayesian statistics, to make accurate predictions and drive decision-making processes. On top of this I have experience using functional programming i nthe form of Haskell, and declarative programming languages, mainly Prolog and s(CASP). In addition to my technical skills, I am adept at working with large datasets, conducting exploratory data analysis, and building machine learning pipelines. I am always open to connecting with like-minded professionals and exploring opportunities to collaborate on data-driven projects that make a meaningful impact.
