About Maya Hadley

I am a Public Service Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), entering my second year in the Master’s program in International Relations. My work focuses on the intersection of economic development and conflict resolution in Latin America, with a particular interest in leveraging public-private partnerships to support long-term, state-led peacebuilding efforts. I recently graduated summa cum laude from Howard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish. Following graduation, I received a Fulbright-Hays Research Project grant to conduct fieldwork in Colombia, where I traveled to eight cities engaging with human rights leaders, youth activists, former armed group members, and government officials. I’m passionate about advancing innovative, cross-sector solutions to promote inclusive development and sustainable peace in conflict-affected regions. I aspire to work at the intersection of diplomacy, development, and private sector engagement across the Americas.
