About Maya Kantor
I am deeply fascinated by the human psyche, its neurobiochemical mechanisms and thought processes, and these implications on behavior and environment. Also, I am deeply fascinated in bridging the gap between science and spirituality/religion. I am a fifth-year student at the University of Florida, majoring in psychology with a concentration in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience. I am minoring in philosophy. I am an avid advocate for human rights, human equality, world peace (currently developing an equation to solve this issue), and emotional healing for all. I love to learn from the experiences of others, share ideas and insights, and further my understanding of unfamiliar concepts. Apart from my commitment to the field of scientific literature, I am also very interested in applying these findings to individuals with severe mental illness and working towards an improved healthcare system. I plan on receiving a PhD in Clinical Psychology, focusing on mood, emotions, sleep, and psychosis, as they are all interconnected.
