About Mechelle Tomasone

I am a USAF veteran with my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Character Animation from UCF and a Bachelor's in Aeronautics (management & physics in aerospace & aviation). I would love to combine the 2 degrees and be a part of 3D designing for the aerospace or aviation industry or help create training programs that are engaging and creative using Articulate 360 or Captivate.During my time at UCF, I created an animated short film from story creation to delivery. We had a team of 13 students creating the film while learning the programs and skills necessary to thrive in the Animation industry. For the past two years, I produced and polished a large number of animation sequences, modeling and rigging of assets/props, I rigged one of our main character models, I was a production manager, animation lead, lighting tech, layout artist, editor, environmental artist, storyboarder, marketing lead, VFX artist, compositor, and render wrangler.Knowledgeable and certified in the Adobe Software Suite. More than 4 years of hands-on experience with Autodesk Maya. Proficient in motion capture, Blender, Nuke, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Toon Boom Harmony, MS Office Suite, Articulate Storyline 360, SAP, Salesforce, and Windows and Mac OS.Instructional Design/Training: I've designed many training programs throughout the years, countless step-by-step procedures, and am well versed at facilitating training in a way all people will understand. I enjoy public speaking, and I thrive on creating SOPs and training procedures. With 15 years of experience in training customers and businesses, and my understanding of the ADDIE model, technical writing and explaining things so everyone understands, comes naturally to me. Leadership: I have 5 years of leadership and management experience with the ability to motivate employees. I graduated from the Emerging Leadership program at Walt Disney World where I learned and implemented world class leadership skills.
