Dr Whitty is an experienced research officer at the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods currently working on the Northern Territory Gambling Project. She holds a BA (Hons.) in Anthropology, a PhD in Public Health research and completed an Evaluation Short Course at University of Melbourne (2013). Recently employed as a project coordinator with Menzies School of Health Research in the Preventable and Chronic Diseases Division in both Alice Springs and Darwin, her work history is relevant and specific to the NT. Dr Whitty has a broad range of employment and research experience in the area of Public Health, particularly in relation to Indigenous health and the NT policy and practice setting. With an interest in program evaluation and behavioural addiction research, Megans expertise include a sound understanding of behaviour change theory, implementation science, public health literature, as well as program management and qualitative research skills.
