About Megan Halliday

I am a Privacy Specialist with expertise in data governance, compliance, and risk management, drawing on a background in both higher education and policing. With a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), I bring strong analytical, research, and information management skills to complex privacy challenges. My work focuses on helping organizations navigate privacy legislation, implement practical safeguards, and build a culture of trust through transparency and accountability. I have experience conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs), developing policies, and advising on best practices for the handling of personal and sensitive information. Passionate about the responsible use of data, I bridge technical, legal, and operational perspectives to create solutions that support organizational goals while protecting individual rights. As an animal lover and history buff, I’m proud to serve on the boards of the Humane Society of London & Middlesex (HSLM) and Eldon House.
