About Megan Oster

I have extensive experience managing the musculoskeletal consequences of cancer treatment with a special interest in Breast Cancer. I am passionate about supportive care and improving the quality of life for people living with the disease. I feel fortunate to have been able to assist countless oncology patients over the years, and during this time, I have undertaken numerous external courses in oncology care, expanding my skill set to be at the forefront of my profession. Having worked in this area in both the hospital and private practice sector, I am comfortable working in a high performing team environment whilst also working autonomously as an independent service. These roles have enabled me to understand patient pathways, whilst also identifying unmet needs. I am invested in the ongoing education and integration of oncology physiotherapy, in particular, within standardised musculoskeletal private practice and throughout my career, I have built services based on gaps identified for patients outside of the hospital system. Of note, within a previous role, I successfully developed and implemented an oncology service within one of London’s leading independent private practice, consisting of 13 clinics and delivered several training programs internally and to the wider community. Being an independent provider, it has been necessary for me to build strong relationships with a vast network of external service providers, working collaboratively with them to address the needs of my patients. Whilst I still provide clinical care for my patients, I am also responsible for managing a team and have a leadership role within the company. This role requires staff performance management, strategic business vision and growth, meeting and developing relationships with external stake holders and the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
