Love Your People” Melanie – the story When I was nine my neighbors signed a petition to have my family leave, called in death threats to my father and a policeman’s son attempted to hose me down on my way to school. Out of the dark comes great light. We bonded with one family who refused to sign off on hate. That family taught me how to take a stand and I’ve been doing it ever since. I speak, coach and brand, fostering our human(e) potential and consciousness. I’m an activist of sorts, a truth teller for sure and cultivator of wisdom. I’ve blended who I am with what I do, incorporating the teaching of my Native American elders. Melanie – Training + Education A provocateur, daring people to be courageous, deepen their consciousness and cultivate their wisdom on the road of life. She takes a stand believing we belong to one another and as a coach she must coach for consciousness. Melanie has traveled the globe bringing the freedom that courage gives. Working in Wuxi, China, speaking at TEDx venues in Vienna and Vancouver. Melanie's speaking gigs are a love fest of provocative thinking on wisdom and courage. Education She received a Master of Arts in Asian Economic Development and Political Risk at Dominican University (CA). Taking her business acumen to the people, Melanie served the public in several nonprofits and co-created the first youth credit union (staffed by youth) in California. She trained at The Coaches Training Institute, upon completion of training she was selected to teach for them. Do You. Be Courageous. Belong. Work + Credentials Melanie has vision to create what has not yet existed. After coaching for several years, she saw the need for a magazine to galvanize the coaching community and to provide a forum for writing about soul and work. She co-created Choice magazine and wrote the wildly loved column, “The Soul of Coaching” for five years.
