About Melanie Dyer

I have been working in the mental health field for the last 3.5 years. I have worked as a crisis hotline operator, counselor in a domestic violence shelter, family advocate in a child advocacy center, and individual counselor in a therapy agency. I am a person-centered, relational therapist who is dedicated to the healing and empowerment of my clients. My specialties and areas of interest include domestic violence, developmental trauma, inner-child work, body positivity, Health At Every Size, anxiety alleviation, and grief. I also host a podcast centered on mental health and social justice. In these 30-minute episodes, I interview mental health professionals and people for whom therapy has had an impact, with the intent of making therapy less scary, more accessible, and more inclusive.
