About Melissa Prince

With 20 years of experience in both agency and client-side environments, and having worked in Canada and abroad, I have a unique foundation and path in the PR industry. I’ve built my career on a solid work ethic, strong relationships and achieving high quality results. I am a creative thinker and a strong believer in the value of storytelling as a way for an organization to connect with their audiences - whether a member of the media, an influencer, a partner, or a stakeholder. My skill set includes program management, strategic communications, planning, budgeting, earned media relations strategy, the development and execution of integrated campaigns, employee communication materials development, earned and sponsored content development, planning large- and small-scale influencer programs, social media planning and content development, media material development, people management, relationship management, event management, and sponsorship/partnership negotiation. I understand our industry's ever-changing landscape, and the value of using data-driven communications to navigate it. I manage and mentor junior staff, and am well versed in the management of varying sized budgets. I am a graduate of Mount Allison University with a BA in History and graduated with honours from Centennial College with a post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications. I am definitely a travel and culture junkie. My favourite hobbies include travelling, reading, scuba diving, visiting galleries and museums, and going to concerts.
