I work as a Lactation Consultant in private practice, offering home visits, in Liguria (La Spezia and Genova provinces), Tuscany (Massa-Carrara, Lucca, Pisa and Livorno provinces) and in the province of Parma. My main areas of interest are: sucking and latch difficulties; breast and nipple pain and damage; breastfeeding challenges such as tongue tie (ankyloglossia), oral clefts, Pierre Robin Sequence; breastfeeding with thyroid disorders; dysphoric milk ejection reflex (D-MER); selection and use of breastfeeding tools (breastpump, milk supplementers – SNS, LactAid etc.); problems with milk production or milk transfer.
