Currently working as an Administrative Assistant to Catherine Callaghan TD in the Carlow - Kilkenny constituency, furthering Deputy Callaghan's goals and priorities for the locality, and working to fulfill her mandate for the area. As an experienced print and broadcast journalist, I've reported on countless breaking stories, commissioned major investigative pieces, and worked to produce quality original content for radio and newspaper audiences. My work in this brief has also seen me interview top-flight political and business leaders of all stripes in Ireland, and promote innovative and engaging newsroom solutions. I am passionate about current affairs and public service, and in my time as a journalist have taken pride in contributing to the ongoing debate on issues such as the impending nitrates derogation, Ireland's triple lock mechanism, and the dilution of the common agricultual policy. I hold an MA degree in History from University College Cork, and a BA degree in both History and Mathematics from University College Dublin. I thrive in a busy and active workplace, which allows me to demonstrate my adaptability as part of a tight-knit and forward-thinking team, and to make use of my extensive contacts book.
