About Michael Dupill

I joined the United States Navy in 2010 as an Air Traffic Controller. I immediately was chosen for the ATC "C" school upon graduation from "A" School. Upon completion of the "C" school, I joined my first command, the USS George H W Bush home port of Norfolk, VA. The Bush is a Nimitz class aircraft carrier where I spent the next 3 years. The ship was on deployment when I arrived in July of 2012 so I was flown onboard in Manama, Bahrain. I went on deployment again in February of 2014 and completed my 3 years during that deployment and was flown back to the states in July of 2014. Upon my return to the states, I was ordered to another school in Pensacola Florida and upon completion of that school returned to Virginia to start work at my next command, a shore duty station in Virginia Beach called Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility Virginia Capes or FACSFAC VACAPES for short. I was there for almost a year when I realized that I had lost my drive to continue performing my air traffic control duties and chose to as we in the navy call it,"cross-rate" to the Master at Arms rating which is military police. On November 20th 2015, I checked out of VACAPES and my travel to San Antonio, Texas to begin my school for my new rate. After a grueling 7 weeks of learning how to become a navy Master at Arms, I graduated, got my badge and returned to Norfolk, VA on February 17th, 2016 to start my new career defending Naval Station Norfolk as an armed sentry. Since working at naval station norfolk, I went to the USS Abraham Lincoln, did two more carrier deployments and now I’m stationed in Ventura county CA.
