About Michael Faulkner

With 20+ years of experience in gaming, film, and TV, I've collaborated with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Sega, Disney, THQ, Relic Entertainment, Radical Entertainment, Propaganda Games, Rhythm & Hues, Vivendi Games and Mainframe Entertainment. In my various roles, I've created benchmark assets and managed art production for local and external development teams. I’ve helped establish pipelines, as well as implemented successful art production workflows for projects. I also have live-service game experience. I don’t only manage art; depending on your needs, as a Senior or Lead 3D Artist, I also do the work. Specializing in organic and hard surface modeling, I make buildings, props, environments, materials, help with characters, weapons and make the occasional vehicle. I’m good at problem solving and reverse engineering, which allows me to quickly learn new techniques and art direction. I have experience with Essence Engine, Unity and Unreal 5. My software proficiency includes 3DS Max, Maya, Houdini, Blender, ZBrush, SpeedTree, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marvelous Designer and Photoshop. Microsoft Azure DevOps, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence and Perforce.
