About Michael Goin

Have taken responsability for many systems that had limited previous support and had to figure out how they worked, correct any problems, create system documentation and provide training on how they should be managed by engineering and operations. Wrote many programs most recently to automate a system that required manual monitoring saving hours per day with numerous logs for trouble analysis. Additionally wrote an Inventory Management package, Scripts for handling automated backups on robot tape array, automatically go out to detect and fix disk errors as well as many other scripts for system monitoring and reporting. Specialties: Specialize in seeing areas of improvement and creating methods to make those improvements via Unix Csh, Ksh and Nawk/Gawk programming or other scripting languages or process changes.
