CONSULTANT PAEDIATRIC DIETITIAN I work as a Consultant Paediatric Dietitian with expertise in ARFID and chronic malnutrition, particularly in children with complex multi-diagnosis presentations of neurodevelopment (e.g. Autism), neurological and metabolic disorders. Severe, long-term avoidance/restriction of food intake creates many forms of malnutrition with long term consequences for childhood brain development, teenage psychiatric illness and poor chronic disease outcomes. Most children in my clinic eat less than 10 foods throughout their childhood and depend on advanced medical nutrition products/solutions. My national telehealth clinic provides infants, children and teens all over Australia with advanced medical nutrition and feeding therapy, NGT/PEG feeding support, complex case management and a crisis hotline for urgent care- REMOTE FIELD CARE & RESCUE MEDIC I am an active volunteer (>500hrs/year) as a remote field care and rescue medic with Rescue Medics Australia and St John Ambulance. My skill sets are focused on rescue, trauma care and advanced life support in low-access/remote contexts, including: bush fires, floods, search & rescue (SAR), adventurous expeditions and remote events. As part of my volunteering, I am Founding Director of Rescue Medics Australia, a charitable non-profit that is building a volunteer network of rescue medics who are trained in wilderness medicine, trauma and prolonged field care for remote, high risk and complex contexts.
