About Michael Leibold

Michael Leibold joined Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) in October 2022 as a Site Manager to support SCG’s Global Corrections Program at the International Corrections Academy–Colorado. Mr. Leibold has thirty years of military and corrections experience training, mentoring, and supervising security professionals and directing national level training. As a leader who worked with both military and civilian components stateside and abroad, Mr. Leibold served five years in Afghanistan as an Advisor with the Corrections System Support Program and two years working with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan/Ministry of Counternarcotics for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the INL/Kabul Counternarcotics Program. He has also served as a Learning and Development Manager, Senior Correctional Officer, and Transportation/Release Officer at a U.S. Marshals Service Facility, as a Transportation and Security Manager at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Facility, and as Corrections Staff Instructor for the State of Arizona Department of Corrections. Mr. Leibold has State of Arizona Correctional Officers Training Academy certifications and Department of Defense basic, advance and primary leadership certifications, as well as Department of State Civilian Police and Foreign Affairs Counter Threat training and Master Key Leadership certifications.
