About Michael Linnert

I currently serve as the Principal at Keystone Oaks High School, within the Keystone Oaks School District. As an administrator within the district, my focus is to meet the needs of all of our student learners and staff. As an educational team at our high school, we are future-driven educational leaders, striving to provide the most optimal learning environment and experiences for students. I recently completed the Doctoral Program at Point Park University, earning my doctorate in Leadership & Administration (Ed.D.). Working towards this degree created a continuous learning opportunity to build a foundation of leadership expertise and best practices, which will foster the growth and development of myself and others. During my time in this program, I have also earned my Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility. Previously, during my time at Clairton Middle / High School, I fulfilled the roles of Health & Physical Education / Math Remediation Teacher, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, District Testing Coordinator and Associate Principal. Each position created a unique opportunity to work with many different aspects throughout the district, encouraging student achievement and development, and fulfill administrative roles. As an administrator within the Clairton City School District, we worked collaboratively to effectively and appropriately implement Restorative Practices. This approach is designed to build empathy, create and repair relationships, reduce suspension rates, and help support students and staff. In addition, many uniquely designed goals and initiatives were set forth to assist with increasing student achievement. During my near six years as Athletic Director for the Clairton City School District, I have had many unique opportunities to work collaboratively with a variety of different Administrators, Athletic Directors, Officials, and more. These experiences provided ample opportunities to allow for academic and athletic excellence for the student-athletes within the district.
