About Michael Petrozzini

Born and raised in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, I am just old enough to have enjoyed that area when it was an up and coming neighborhood. Living and working in Chicago most of my life has also given me a good understanding of its neighborhoods. I suppose you could say that I was born into real estate. My father was a small time real estate entrepreneur. During summer breaks, while other kids were out playing ball in the park, I was inspecting rehab properties with my dad. Later on, he put me to work tearing out plaster; putting up drywall; painting fences and other activities probably considered illegal under child labor laws, but at least I learned a lot. By my teens, I was renting apartments and helping oversee various rehab projects. In my twenties, I bought my first investment property with my brother. It was a two flat fixer upper that was a real disaster. We fixed it up quite nicely and made it rentable. Eventually, it paid off, because the Bucktown neighborhood became quite popular (just as my pops had predicted). With twenty solid years of experience in the real estate industry, I feel fortunate to have learned the business from the ground up. In addition to being a sales broker, I am also an investment consultant, a rehab specialist and a happy home sleuth!(Also, if you need someone to tear out the plaster, perhaps I can help). I really enjoy helping other people find the right property for them – whether it be an investment property, home or a combination of both. As your agent, I will help you look outside of the condo box if so desired, and into the world of owning an investment property. Buying a two to four unit building may not just be the key to building equity and living mortgage free, but it will also provide you with the potential to make a monthly income. The possibilities are endless! When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, music, biking, and spending time with my family.
