About Michael Talbot

Driven, enthusiastic and positive member of staff, I have recently graduated with a 2:1 in Countryside Management. I am a diligent employee with a high level of experience of leading and working within a team to consistently achieve company and personal targets. With a passion for the outdoors and with aspirations to pursue a career in environmental assessment and management.Achieving a proven record of excellence on my degree for ecological reporting, achieving a 2:1 at least in all assignments. Reporting on habitat types, their ecological and cultural history, associated species with present and future conservation threats. Alongside excellent GIS ability, creating GIS binary habitat modelling for the Ring Ouzel for a more targeted management plan of the species. Producing GIS maps is something I enjoyed greatly while at University and hope to continue developing my GIS skills in my professional career. Undertaking ecological surveys was a major part of degree, especially my Dissertation where I conducted woodland, vegetation, and light surveys unassisted, in all types of weather to investigate variation in tree regeneration. While I studied at university, I balanced my time between study, volunteering with the University Conservation Society and my part time job at J D Wetherspoons.
