I work as a Paralegal in Commercial Property law having recently graduated from the University of York. I am personally interested in transactions of any nature, but particularly those that touch on multiple different areas of legal practice or require cross-jurisdiction knowledge.Prior to embarking upon my legal career, I worked in data/technical intensive roles, particularly contract work with Legal & General and the YMCA Downslink Group. I have enjoyed technology since childhood, having self-taught myself HTML and CSS in primary school, and this has proved useful as a foundation for later professional application in data work and SQL.I also ran a small cleaning company operating in multiple UK cities, providing me with a comparatively rare early career understanding of market dynamics and management. I understand that a business lives and dies on the ability to acquire - and retain - a profitable client base, and that this is best achieved through providing an excellent service at a reasonable price. This, to me, is 'value'.I aspire to build a career in legal practice feeling valued by both my clients and peers in the profession. Having worked in Brighton and London over 7 years, a personal goal is to eventually dual qualify and gain additional experience serving clients outside of the English market, and to expand upon my pro-bono work at the Baroness Hale Legal Clinic.
