About Mitchell Jiang

Hi! My name is Mitchell Jiang and I am a rising junior studying Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Stemming from my growing interest in Hardware Development, I try to constantly expose myself to new applications through personal projects, rigorous coursework, clubs, and research. At the Yellow Jacket Space Program (YJSP), I am a member of the Helluva Engine Test Stand (HETS) Avionics team, where I help develop, set up, and diagnose avionics hardware with Vespula, YJSP’s KeroLOX rocket. This summer, I’m interning at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) through the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP), contributing to the Space Systems Academic Group. My work involves verifying and improving labs for Payload Design and Spacecraft Systems, as well as developing hardware/software for CubeSat Attitude Determination and Control Systems (ADCS). Outside of engineering, I enjoy hiking the mountains of North Georgia and exploring the scenic trails of Monterey, California. I also express my creativity by editing a variety of content on TikTok and YouTube, where I’ve built a community of over followers and 1 million likes.
