Dear Sir / Madam, I am motivated to contribute the skills and knowledge I have gained through my experience in the Jordan NGOs and the financial sector. I have been working for the past ten years in the NGO finance sector in multiple roles, from a coordinator, and officer to senior positions covering all aspects of finance from writing budgets, reporting to donors, building capacity for finance and program staff, and conducting field visits to observe the implementation as well as tracking budgets (BVA), to support decision making in the appropriate time, for my management as well as our donors. For the past years, I have been working on programs funded by different donors such as USAID, UNICEF, UN-Women, GIZ, Novo Nordisk Fonden- DRC, Belgium MFA, and for sub-awards funded by the Department of State and Robert Bosch Stiftung implemented in Nigeria and Zimbabwe remotely. Also, I have been the focal point between the program department and donors. I have also worked on drafting and writing budgets to support our grant team. I have worked with the program department and followed daily and adjusted, if necessary, to ensure that work progress is in harmony with the plan (BVA) and all supporting documents needed were available. I also contributed to developing the procurement policy and procedures with my department, as well as having the biggest role in implementing the petty cash policy. I have conducted multiple capacity-building sessions for finance and programs staff especially when there were new policies or donors, moreover, used the forward option as hedges to minimize the exchange rate risks, and the contract worked, and we made a profit, re-arrange an Excel sheet for payroll distribution to ensure optimally allocate the staffing. In 2023 I joined the Nordic Consulting Group “NCG” as a Finance Monitoring Officer, and using my strong proficiency in finance to assess and build the management capacity for partners and analyze financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Currently, I am working as a Certifying Officer for UNESCO, which aligns with my passion for joining a UN agency or public organization. This role allows me to develop myself, share my experiences with partners and staff, and have a greater impact, leading to increased self-satisfaction. Lastly, I am currently pursuing my CPA certification to enhance my professional skills and deepen my accounting knowledge.
