Experienced and professionally registered Chemical Engineer (PrEng) with over 22 years’ combined experience in plant management, chemical process engineering and senior management experience in the design, operation and management of water and waste water treatment Works and Chemical Process Engineering teams. Includes experience as Head of Department for Municipal Wastewater and Sanitation. Wide experience in managerial oversight of integrated technical operations and very large teams and staff management in complex and challenging environment. Competent in managing large municipal budgets for operations and motivating for funding of multi-million Rand capital projects for infrastructure. Thought leader in chemical engineering applications, strategy development, business process mapping, systems engineering and risk management in wastewater treatment works with presentations given at National Conferences, working with research reference groups and academic institutions. As a Certified Coach and Mentor I have mentored Candidates in their development to register as Professionals in Chemical Engineering. Actively involved in the Engineering Council of South Africa as Accreditation Assessor and Lead Accreditation Assessor of Chemical Engineering academic programmes at Universities in South Africa to ensure that educational standards are upheld for accreditation with the Engineering Council and to meet the job requirements of the process engineering industry locally and internationally. Served on the KZN Branch of the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers for many years. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (UK) and meet the requirements for applying for Fellowship.
