About Monalee Gibbs

With over 14 years of diplomatic and foreign policy experience, I support the review, formulation, and implementation of Jamaica's foreign policy related to international organizations and assist with the supervision of staff in the Multilateral Affairs Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade (MFAFT). I hold a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute, with a specialization in Power, Conflict and Development. In my previous role as Program Manager/Assistant Director in the Diaspora Affairs Department, I contributed to the development and execution of the Ministry's diaspora engagement priorities, guided by the National Diaspora Policy and international best practices, and through collaboration with other Ministries, Departments and Agencies, international development partners, and Jamaican diaspora leaders and communities. I have acquired skills in policy analysis, project management, stakeholder relations, and e-learning, and I am fluent in Spanish and have a working knowledge of French. My mission is to leverage my expertise and passion to foster organizational success and advance Jamaica's interests and values in the global arena.
