About Monique Dorian
Monique Dorian has been dancing and performing for over 25 years, and teaching since 2002. She studied dance - training in modern, jazz, hip hop, Latin/Ballroom, Salsa, ballet, and lyrical techniques - at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she attended master classes by Paul Taylor, Parsons Dance, Mark Morris, The Martha Graham Company, and more. Monique has studied with U.S. Latin/Ballroom champions and renowned coaches Jose DeCamps, Diana MacDonald, Marianne Nicole, Edward Simon, and Chris Johnston. She continues to study in the Boston area and attends annual teacher training conventions with Tremaine Dance. For the last 13 years, Monique has been teaching all levels of dance technique to a variety of ages at Setting the Barre Dance Academy in Concord, Mass, and taught various classes at Dancetime, the Harvard Academy of Dance and at The Studio DCFA in Brookline, Mass for 11 years. Monique was also a guest dance teacher for the 2011 Boston Ballet Summer Workshops, where she taught partnering to prospective students. She is certified in Hatha yoga.
