About Monisha Biswas

I completed PhD from the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University in Australia. My research title is 'The role of mobile technologies in the sustainability of women-led micro-enterprises and women's empowerment in rural Bangladesh'. I am available to work with industry, non-profit and academic institutes in qualitative research and high-level advocacy areas. I have 18 years of practical experience in team management, development project, advocacy, campaign, research and communication. I have led several successful public campaigns on economic justice issues like GROW, Right to Food and Campaign for Sustainable Livelihoods, Stand Up Take Action with ActionAid Bangladesh, UN Millennium Campaign, Oxfam in Bangladesh and Oxfam in South Africa. I possess excellent skills in designing advocacy strategies to influence national and global stakeholders, campaign plans, developing monitoring frameworks for campaigns, management of campaign evaluation and mainstreaming gender and women’s right. I am a champion in the social media campaigns and youth engagement on contemporary development issues such as the right to food, sustainable agriculture, poverty eradication and climate justice.
