About Morgan Fraser

I am a highly motivated research scientist with a passion for innovative therapies for chronic diseases. My experience in both academia and the biotech industry equips me with expertise in molecular biology, data analysis, and experience with cross-functional collaboration. At CRISPR Therapeutics, I was part of a group that led in vivo editing of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) using CRISPR-Cas9. My work involved culturing primary human CD34+ HSPCs, performing electroporation, and optimizing LNP and mRNA transfections for editing in mammalian cell lines. I also processed bone marrow from humanized mice and non-human primates, enriching stem cells for flow cytometry, and extracted DNA for editing analysis. I collaborated with cross-functional teams and CROs, as well as maintained a detailed electronic lab notebook (ELN). At Sanofi Pasteur, I contributed to the Next Generation Flu (NGF) project by identifying vaccine candidates through high-throughput screening of recombinant proteins in the ExpiCHO cell line. I performed affinity purification and characterization of proteins using biochemical assays. I also executed cloning projects in collaboration with Codex using the BioXP system. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut. My technical proficiency extends to histology techniques and computer software such as Prism, SnapGene, and FlowJo.
