About Morgan Heeter

My name is Morgan Heeter and I'm a senior at UAB. I'm currently majoring in Health and Human Development with a minor in medical sociology. I aspire to become a patient advocate. My next steps are getting certified and entering a Masters program in Health Advocacy at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. In order to further my education, I'm considering the possibility of pursuing the UAB MSW program so that I may gain valuable social skills to work with people. Becoming a health/medical social worker is something that inspires me because I will be able to use my passion for patient advocacy in my practice every day. I believe it's important to have a meaningful job that makes a real difference in a client's life. Sometimes making a difference could mean hand-holding someone through a difficult process. I want to do something important that matters with my life. My graduation date is set for December 14, 2019. I'm very excited to begin my journey post graduation to see where my life takes me. I'm very compassionate towards others and I want to use the heart God gave me in a positive way. I want to better my community and make a real impact in the world. I hope to accomplish these goals I have set for myself. I'm looking forward to the amazing ride.
