About Morgan Quarry

I have spent the last 35 years working in the sports industry in senior management and recently took on a challenging and exciting new venture as Executive Director of Burnaby Football Club, an amalgamation of five soccer clubs in Burnaby. My passion for football (soccer) has always provided me with an easy avenue to discussions and shared passions with people around the Globe. My almost 20 years spent as the Manager and then GM of the Canadian Men's National Soccer Team was not only an extremely rewarding experience but resulted in lifelong memories and friendships. My subsequent work with Concacaf as a Venue Coordinator came along at the perfect time and allows me to stay connected with the sport I love. Closer to home I have taken great satisfaction and joy in guiding Bowen Island Football Club from its formation in 2009 to its current place as a staple in our small community. My involvement with the Club has ranged over the last 15 years as a volunteer coach, Club President to GM and Technical Director. It has been extremely gratifying to be able to give back to the sport I love at the grassroots level and to be a part of something so beneficial and crucial to the well-being, camaraderie and spirit of our community. I am extremely fortunate to have had the pleasure of working and learning with some tremendous people during my years spent with the Ottawa Senators as Director of Media Relations, the Ottawa Lynx Triple-A Baseball Club as PR Director as well as my time at the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Sun as a sports information director and sports writer respectively. All of these experiences have helped form the person I am and convinced me of the importance of building relationships in the work environment.
