In the current role at Blue Visby, Munaf has the responsibility to set up and manage global marine operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence. The focus is on driving impactful results for partner companies through innovative strategies, emphasizing operational performance and maritime decarbonization. Munaf also concentrates on commercial growth and business development, identifying new opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships to expand Blue Visby's market presence. Previously, Munaf was a founding member and Director of Propel Marine. His experience extends to wind energy projects, solar energy, heavy lift projects, and project cargo consultancy. He conducted and facilitated crew safety training and seminars and is an expert in international and national legislation as well as industry standards and codes, frequently consulted by clients for invaluable insights and guidance. Munaf holds designations such as Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute (AFNI), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (FICS), and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors (AIMS). He actively contributes to the growth and development of the shipping industry as a committee member of the ICS ANZ Branch. As a Master Mariner with Class I recognition from AMSA, certified with STCW 2010 and GMDSS, Munaf has significant experience as a Marine Surveyor and Consultant, contributing to port feasibility studies, logistics coordination, and marine surveys for global clients. He has successfully completed various Incident Investigations, ISM & ISPS Audits, Flag state inspections, Pre PSC & SVI (Safety Vetting Inspections), P&I representations, Pre-purchase inspections, and Marine surveys. His expertise extends to Hold inspections (Alumina, Grain, Iron Ore, Bauxite, Mineral Sands, Fertilizers, Phosphate, Cement, etc.), Draft surveys, Cargo Trimming, and Port Captaincy. Munaf has management and operational experience in fast-paced Maritime and Oil/Chemical environments, ensuring safe and efficient cargo operations as well as vessel management. He has Load Master experience on Oil, Chemical, and Gas tankers. His goal is to continue driving innovation and excellence in the maritime sector.
