About Murat Can Bilgincan
I am a 2008 graduate of Yale College, where I majored in economics and shot short films. After commencement, I travelled the world, volunteered at an orphanage in Kenya, blogged about current affairs and worked at CNN Turk in my hometown of Istanbul. At CNN Turk, I prepared 45-minute documentaries on the Ukraine Crisis and the Turkish defense industry. I later moved to the newsroom, where I covered the first Turkish presidential election and the war in Kobani, as an on-air reporter. In December 2016, I received my Master of Science degree from Columbia Journalism School. A year later, I founded Mzungu Media LLC. where I continue to produce corporate films in addition to my journalistic work.
