About Mwalu Peeters

MSc in Applied Human Nutrition, MAN, RDN. Health researcher engaged in quantitative and qualitative nutrition, social science and health systems research using participatory and anti-oppressive methods. Nutrition practitioner working through community-based and relationship-centred health-promotion and disease-prevention interventions; nutrition-forward recipe and menu development; and client-centred nutrition therapies, education, counseling, and coaching. Interested in reducing systemic and environmental barriers to healthy eating and physical activity, improving household and community food security, and addressing disparities in nutrition status and health outcomes across socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, cultural, generational, body-type and gender spectra. Strongly values inclusive, culturally responsive, and decolonizing service provision & research practice in pursuit of health equity.
