About Nan Brett

Nan Brett earned her BA from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York majoring in Psychology and Dance. She has done post graduate work in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology at the University of Maine and regularly attends professional educational conferences and trainings. Nan is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education & Dance, IDEA & the National Lymphedema Network. Drawing upon her background in Ballet, Modern Dance, Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Pilates, Corrective Exercise, Functional Movement Training as well as traditional exercise techniques, Nan has been teaching a variety of dance and exercise based movement classes since 1980. She has maintained her credentials as a Certified Fitness Instructor with ACE (American Council on Exercise) since 1987, is a SCW Certified Pilates instructor, an American College of Sports Medicine/American Cancer Society Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer, A Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Specialist, an Institute for Integrative Health and Fitness Education Certified Integrative Corrective Exercise Instructor and is a Reiki Master Practitioner. Nan is the Director of The Ballroom in Harrison, Maine.
