About Nancy Oscar

I am Nancy, an enthusiastic passionate professional Early Childhood Teacher and Educator living my dream to teach children and touching their lives. Having officially two years of experience and eight years of volunteering in different schools and organizations as a mentor at Cheka Sana Tanzania mentoring street children and a Sunday school teacher at Mwanza Pentacoastal church and till date at Dar es salaam Pentacoastal church and as an assistant teacher in different schools. I aspire to reach, teach and touch as many lives as I can, from infants to aged people across the globe through working with NGOs and Governmental Organizations.My passion for children and teaching came at a very young age as I was living in a community based environment wanting to help the little ones to reach their full potentials in all developmental domains. As an elder sister I tried my best to teach the young ones life skills and also encouraged them in their academics believing either of the two will help them in the future. My dream was and still is to build an orphanage or to build an educational center to support less privileged people in order to reach their full potential and to live an independent life. Aside from being an early childhood teacher and educator I am an entrepreneur passionate about art having a variety of artistic skills. As an entrepreneur and teacher I introduced a club called Magic Art Club aiming to inculcate entrepreneur skills to children and encouraging them to develop creativity and critical thinking skills in tackling problems facing people and how to address them through art and being able to be a well behaved independent citizen. Through the club children learnt how to make tye and dye, printing on T-shirts, making vikoi, jewelry making such as bracelets and earrings using resin, strings and beads and lastly making simple furniture like a coffee table using old tyres, yarn, glue gun and wood and selling them. The purpose for all this is to reduce the dependency ratio and to be a productive citizen giving back to the community as they become young adults. My Specialties include eagerness to learn, adapt to different environments, quickly learning new skills, very flexible, good communication skills, good sense of humor, and working passionately with anyone. I am seeking opportunities where I can learn and share knowledge and skills in education and entrepreneurship from different parts of the world and would love to connect with you!
