About Nataly M.

With over 5 years of experience in the animation industry, I am a passionate and versatile technical director who strives to deliver robust, intuitive tools for artists. I have worked in the Modeling, Digimatte, and Look Development departments where I apply my skills in user interface design, debugging, and software architecture to optimize workflows and solve technical challenges. I am currently working at DreamWorks Animation, one of the world's leading animation studios, where I share their vision of creating stories that inspire and entertain audiences of all ages.In my current role, I work with my department's artists and other teams to debug general artist and production issues, and improve the user experience of existing tools as well as create new ones. I also collaborate with other technical directors and artists to develop new workflows and tools for various applications. For example, I implemented a render validation tool to ensure that renders did not have unwanted changes overnight, and I co-developed a new workflow for Clarisse, a powerful rendering software, that involved implementing a camera importer, an asset browser, and a scene importer. These initiatives have enhanced the quality and efficiency of the production pipeline, and enabled the artists to focus on their creative vision.
