About Nate Howard

Pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find that you've collected nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. These words from my favorite musical are words that I live by. Going through the motions of each day just doesn't cut it, so I prefer to give my best in everything I do, all the while encouraging people around me to see the good in everything. Along with people, I really love music. Playing jazz trumpet has taken me far as I have traveled the country to perform and have met many other wonderful musicians. As a student, settling for anything less than "grade A" work is not an option. This has truly paid off not in the sense that I'm building a great transcript and get to be on the UCO President's Honor Roll, but that I have worked hard to understand each and every concept my professors teach me. Yet, one of the most important concepts I have learned over time is that people are more important. Between my experience in ministry organizations, my group work at school, and my relationships with friends, family, and acquaintances, I have found that we can go farther together than we can apart. Working with a team and with people is where I thrive. Moving forward, I aim to continue learning, giving my best in the details, and building relationships, wherever that may be.
