About Nate Thompson

I'm a software engineer passionate about building scalable, real-time applications and bridging the gap between hardware and software. With hands-on experience in full-stack development, IoT, and automation, I love tackling complex problems and optimizing systems for performance and efficiency. I recently earned my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Akron (May 2025) and currently work as a SharePoint and Power Platform Developer at Dover Chemical Corp. In this role, I've rebuilt the company’s intranet, streamlined workflows using Power Automate, and optimized SharePoint applications serving over 200 employees. Prior to this, I was at Stanley Black & Decker, where I developed an in-house testing suite with Flutter and Python for hardware integration. Outside of work, I’m driven by innovation. I'm building TeeTracker, a real-time GPS tracking system for golf courses that combines React, Node.js, WebSockets, and Google Maps API with custom IoT hardware. I also created Rocket League Replay, a web platform for storing and managing game replays. I'm always excited to take on new challenges in full-stack development, IoT, and cloud computing. Let’s connect—I’d love to collaborate or chat about new ideas!
