About Nathan Rainey

I grew up in rural South Alabama and then moved to Florence Alabama for my high school education. Growing up my mother was in the education system while my father was the pastor of our church. I began to learn to read music, sing, and play guitar when I was 14 years old through both school and the church. My parents are both musicians, though not professionally, and felt it was important for me to have these skills. I am very grateful for their vision and investment in my future because I wouldn't be where I am without them. When I came to college I chose Auburn University. I have been pursuing a Bachelor's in History here and will be finishing in the spring of 2020. My time at Auburn has been filled with joy. I have made life long friends and learned to love these people. I accepted a job in the fall of 2019 as a Worship Director for the West Auburn campus for Church of the Highlands. My goal for life is to continue to help others by leading them into God's presence through worship. I intend to use my degree at Auburn to help my studies as a pastor and possibly go to seminary on the future.
