Background
About Neill Prentice
I am an internationally screened filmmaker (a couple of short films screened in Canada and France, so it counts yeah?). I have a great passion for both filmmaking/storytelling and youth work, and have been involved in both since the age of 16. Volunteering and then working at my local YMCA, taking on freelance filmmaking work for local charities- which included twice creating the promotional video for Blythswood Care's national Shoebox Appeal- I have since gone onto study filmmaking, achieving a Masters in Film in 2016. My graduation film Stay has been screened at several festivals around the country and at 2018 Frejus Film Festival. My follow up short Mercury Maybe was premiered at the 2019 Edmonton Film Festival in Canada. Since relocating to Edinburgh I have become a tutor for Edinburgh Film Academy, where I get to combine my two passions and teach filmmaking and production to youth of varying ages.
