About Nicholas Garrett

I graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I maintained a GPA of 3.37. My fascination with technology and engineering began with countless hours exploring the intricacies of tech and audio products, igniting a lifelong passion for innovation and problem-solving.Through internships at Norfolk Southern and the University of Tennessee Space Institute, I gained hands-on experience in diverse areas of engineering. At Norfolk Southern, I worked alongside field officers to test and maintain communication and signal equipment, ensuring compliance with corporate standards. At UTSI, I developed MATLAB code for regression-kriging predictions and conducted CFD simulations to analyze oblique shock parameters. In addition to these experiences, I’ve tackled exciting technical projects, such as programming a 3-bit binary counter with a debouncer in C and working with embedded systems. My skills include proficiency in modeling software like SolidWorks, programming in MATLAB and C, and collaborating in fast-paced environments requiring critical thinking and teamwork.Currently, I am starting my journey as an Electrical Control Engineer at Revere Control Systems, where I aim to contribute to innovative automation projects while continuing to grow my expertise.I am enthusiastic about opportunities to solve complex challenges, develop impactful solutions, and make meaningful contributions to the field of electrical engineering.
