About Nick Stevenson

I am currently Producing & Programming Director at Sheffield Theatres. Previously I have worked as Producer at the Royal Shakespeare Company and as Producer at Theatr Clwyd in north Wales I led the Producing & Programming Team and produced in-house productions. I co-founded & was Executive Producer at Junction 8 Theatre based in Lancashire. I have produced work at a variety of scales, including Shakespeare in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and on national tour, promenade community productions involving over 100 community cast members, an immersive production of The Great Gatsby in a derelict pub, a site specific production of a newly commissioned play on Chorley Market and a new musical which toured Wales. I am particularly experienced in creating work in non-theatre spaces, theatre made with and involving members of the community, and theatre for children and families. I was a trustee and Sustainability Champion at Tutti Frutti Productions for 5 years, a Leeds based theatre company making inspiring work for children and families in Leeds, touring the UK and internationally.
