About Nicolas Berthet

Nicolas Berthet serves as chairman of NCOIC’s Technical Council after holding positions as chairman, and chairman emeritus, of NCOIC’s Systems Engineering and Integration Functional Team. NCOIC is an international not-for-profit corporation dedicated to forming an industry-wide technical infrastructure to enable network centric operations and accelerate the delivery of NCO solutions to worldwide customers. Nicolas Berthet is employed by the Battlespace Transformation Center, Thales Group’s centre of excellence for complex system engineering, technical architectures and advanced studies. He serves as project manager and his work focuses on collaborative research and technology projects in the field of security. He has also managed projects within the European 6th Framework Programme and the European Preparatory Action for Security Research—both of which are multinational and multicultural environments. In addition, Nicolas Berthet served as technical project manager of several large radio communications programmes for Western European military customers. Nicolas Berthet has been employed by the THALES Group since his 1988 graduation from the Ecole Centrale de Lille, in France. During the same year he received a Diplome d’Etudes Avancees in microwaves. His educational specialty is electrical and microwave engineering.
