About Nicole Deverich

I am a graduate from Colorado State University-Pueblo and I have a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Wellness. I just recently finished my internship at St. Mary Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado and plan on moving towards getting a job in a community health setting, such as a hospital or health department or any health care setting. I have great communication skills, writing and organizational skills, team building skills; I have a commitment to provide programs and health information to improve health status of the community and overall population; I also have a great proficiency in working with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point with social media networking skills with sights such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. To prepare for my professional career, happening in the near future, I was a supervisor of other people during certain tasks given in a work setting at a library, shadowed some division supervisors at Pueblo City-County Health Department, and also did a presentation of a Case Study at SOPHE 2017 Conference in Denver, Colorado. I worked as a work-study through my college career. I worked at the CSU-Pueblo campus library for three and a half years and then in the School of Nursing office at CSU-Pueblo for one semester. While I worked at those places during my college career I learned a lot and got many skills including, supervision skills and working with other students, managing certain tasks and ongoing projects, made phone calls when appropriate, assisted professors with their daily tasks, and performed computer input and retrieval functions with utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel. Throughout my like I have always done something to better people or help the community. I am looking towards my future in getting a job and one that I love as a Rad Tech. I am currently enrolled in the Radiology Program at PCC and work at Parkview Medical Center in the admissions department. I intend to graduate in 2022 as a Rad Tech.
