About Oliver Kasten

In everything I do, I challenge the status quo. I’m enthusiastic about making improvements and removing structural innovation impediments: To do so, I am using my toolset of methods to uncover the inner workings of complex systems (like organizations and processes), take different points of view, identify inconsistencies, find analogies and synergies, connect the dots, create alternatives, establish collaborations, and ramp up the change. And learn whatever is required to get the job done. As an analyst, I support you to identify the innovation potential of complex systems and to derive emerging technological requirements as well as user needs As an initiator, I support you in forming an actionable innovation projects from just an idea As innovation-project coach, I support your ongoing endeavors in establishing their feasibility, viability, and desirability, e.g, by implementing build-measure-learn, sharpening the value proposition, or developing a sustainable business model As an organization coach, I support you to establish innovation as an inter-organizational undertaking and to strengthen your ability to innovate I have extensive experience in innovation projects (20+ years) and innovation methods, a broad understanding of IT and technology (I’m a computer scientist and have received a Ph.D. for my research into wireless sensor networks), plus a keen interest in business, psychology, and coaching. Technologies: AI, mobile apps, Android, iOS, RFID, REST, Windows, Linux, embedded systems, microcontrollers and sensors, OO-design, Java, JS, C, C++, C#, rule engines (Drools), compiler generators, and many more.
