About Olivia Ashley

My name is Olivia Ashley, and I am from Sanford, Florida but I currently live in Lake Wales, Florida. During the time that I was in college, I also worked part-time in fast food from November 2018 until March 2020. While going to college full-time and working part-time, I learned many skills such as: organizational skills, multitasking skills, and customer service skills. With the experience I gained while working and going to school, I have already accomplished some of my short-term goals, like going to college and joining a club, and have created some long-term goals, such as pursuing a Doctorate Degree. After graduating Bartow Senior high school with a 3.3 GPA, I immediately applied for Polk State College and began attending classes in the Fall of 2018. Since beginning classes at Polk State College, I was a representative for the Student Government Association on the Lake Wales campus in 2019 during the Spring and Summer semester. While I was with the Student Government Association during those semesters, I helped plan, organize, and execute events that took place on the Lake Wales campus. After my time with the Student Government Association, I decided to join The Stem Club in the Fall of 2019. Since joining the Stem Club, I have participated in many opportunities of learning and exploration outside of Polk State College, such as a six-week Geomatics summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in conjunction with the University of Florida.
