About Olivia Freestone

MSc in Engineering, BSc (Hons) in Astronomy and Planetary Science and Postgraduate Certificate in Space Science. Working as a Senior Systems Engineer for Leonardo and am grateful to be working on cutting edge projects that help support our Armed Forces. I have participated in various stages of the engineering life cycle including requirements engineering, integration and qualification testing, through to customer trials and delivery. I particularly enjoy interaction with the end user to help better inform and mould the engineering process. This role has also included experience with tools such as MATLAB and DOORS, as well as training in Cameo Systems Modeler and LabVIEW. I have a passion for Space and Astronomy with a strong focus on Exoplanets. I have also volunteered for UKSEDS, encouraging and inspiring future generations to consider careers in Space and Engineering.
