About Olivia Harp

Olivia Harp is a leadership development professional based in Washington, DC. She designs and implements learning opportunities, projects, events, and initiatives that meet the developmental needs of marginalized communities to catalyze collective impact and create spaces that uphold, recognize, and celebrate their capacities and strengths. She does so by forming and maintaining partnerships with different organizations, district government agencies, and federal departments to optimize and sustain equity efforts in the nation's capital. Olivia has also worked to re-establish the Advancing Youth Development Curriculum for Youth Workers (AYD) in the district. Through this training initiative, she has delivered various professional and youth development learning opportunities to thousands of young people, youth-serving professionals, and parents. Olivia holds undergraduate degrees in Afro-American Studies and Political Science from Howard University and a M.S. in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University. She believes that we must provide intentional services, supports, and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, employ youth participation, and dismantle systemic oppression to bring about universal fairness.
