During the last ten years at IRBM Spa, as Senior Research Associate, I have followed many internal and external projects, that required the assay development of biochemical and / or cell-based assays, the routine test of small molecules or peptides to support the SAR and/or HTS campaign with the aim to identify new chemical matters. These experiences allowed me to have an all-round view on the complete workflow and the opportunity to use tools to implement, improve and speed the processes described above. For these reasons, also following my interest and passion, I have expanded my experience in the management and programming of automated systems, database updating and data tracking, becoming a point of reference for colleagues. KEY SKILLS Automation Good attitude to automation Excellent management and programming of the following system: Compound management and storage station Perkin Elmer, including ASM (Automated Storage), STARlet (liquid handler) and HMotion (robotic hand); HTS automated station Highres Biosolutions including Envision reader, Highres robotic hand, Cytomat incubator; Beckman Biomek FX system stations including SAMI scheduler software; acoustic dispenser ATS EDC and ECHO 650; Tempest Formulatrix dispenser; readers as Envision, Safire2, Biacore and heliX. IT Good attitude to informatics Advanced user of Dotmatics, GraphPad, Vortex, and laboratory instrumentation programming software. Involved actively in the transition to Biovia from Dotmatics. In general propensity and familiarity in the use of all IT platforms including MS Office tools, Word, Excel, Power Point. Scientific Good knowledge of drug discovery process Experience of a range of assay technologies. Analysis of large complex data sets (HTS) using advanced software tools. Design and conduct experiments. Critical review of the data. Presenting the data to line manager. Strong ability to identify problems and find the right strategies to solve them in the shortest possible time. Management I can autonomously organize my work activities, based on priority and deadlines. Ability to understand the priorities of the group and when necessary, re-program the activities.
